1. She is a busy body. She will hardly sit still for anything. She is always into something and running around pulling things out or making a mess. She is like the Tasmanian devil! We are teaching her to help pick up all the messes she makes. She loves to give hugs & kisses!
2. She is talking alot. I have no idea how many words she can say, I quit counting along time ago! She will repeat almost anything. It may not sound exactly like the word, but she tries. her first words in the morning are Where's dada? She asks me that about 1,243 times a day! She also likes to ask me where other family and friends are too. She still likes to sign please even though she can say the word. Sometimes its hard to know what she is wanting, so that can be frustrating, but she will usually pull me by the hand and show me. She loves to point to point and name all her different body parts.
3. She is a pretty good eater for her age. She eats all 3 meals a day and she understands now that she has to have a bite of something before she can get something else. She loves most meats, cheese, green beans, black beans, tortillas, mac & cheese, raisins, chips, bread, milk, breakfast fruit bars, waffles, biscuits, chocolate, pasta, avocado, most fruits, french fries, yogurt, potatoes, & rice.
4. She is an early riser!!! She goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up pretty much every morning at 6:00 or 6:15! Even if she goes to bed later she still wakes up early. She finally takes one nap a day. She gets sleepy pretty early since she wakes up so early. She normally goes down around 12 or so and sleeps 2 hours. She is great about going down for a nap or bed. I usually tell her its time to take a nap or go night-night and she runs to her room and turns on the sound machine!
5. She loves music. Right when we get in the car she is saying please to listen to her CD. She also loves for me to sing to her. She only likes DVDs with songs on them. She loves to dance around. She normally puts one leg up in the air and moves around like that, we have no idea where she learned that. She also likes to bounce up and down.
6. She loves to take baths. She started taking bubble baths recently and loves them! This daddy's job at night and their time together.
7. She loves to watch her DVDs-barney, baby Einstein, praise baby, and a children's song one. She could watch them all day if I let her.
8. She is my little shadow. She follows me around the house all day. She wants to be where mommy is! I'll put on a DVD in her playroom and she maybe stay in there a few minutes before she comes looking for me. She will not sit and play in her playroom by herself for very long at all-everyone keeps saying she needs a sibling to play with! Sometimes its a challenge to get certain things done with her right there making a mess or wanting me to hold her, but I know its just a season of life right now.
9. She is becoming very particular/strong willed about things. I was trying a skirt on her the other day to see if it fit and I went to take it off and she threw the biggest fit. She was rolling around on the ground screaming b/c she did not want to take it off. She also is that way about her shoes, she normally wants to keep them on and gets mad when I take them off.
10. Speaking of throwing fits, she is getting better at that too. She will fall on the ground crying or throw her head back if she doesn't get her way. She also is in a stage where she wants to walk, but depending on where we are she has to hold my hand and she doesn't want to do that either, so she will immediately drop herself to the ground. She likes to say NO and MINE a little too often. We are teaching and training her the best we can and praying for wisdom!
11. She is wearing 18-24 month clothes, some 2T depending on the brand and a size 6 shoe.
12. She loves to be outside. I can't wait for it to get warmer and plus Oscar is in the process of building us a fence!!! So I can let Maddie loose in the backyard to play!
13. She is a daredevil. Not much scares her. She isn't afraid of loud noises or swinging high or big animals or anything else that seems like it would be scary to a 1 1/2 year old. I hope she doesn't remain too much of one as she gets older and does things that really scare mommy!
14. She enjoys the church nursery and walks right in just fine on Sundays and during the week when I go to bible study.
15. She loves to color with crayons. She got some for Christmas and loves them. She will scribble on the page and then she just wants to hold the crayon and eat it if I'm not looking. She also likes to draw on her magna doodle that she got for Christmas.
16. She likes animals of any kind and seeing them on TV, in a book, or in person. Daddy keeps bugging me to get her a puppy, but not yet-only when she is old enough to take care of it herself!
17. She likes to read books, sometimes on her own or sometimes letting me do it. She is very particular about which ones she wants to read and will let me know immediately if I picked out the wrong one!
18. She weights 25 lbs 13 ozs and is 32 1/2 inches long-both in the 75th percentile!
We love you Maddie and love watching you grow and learn new things each day!

Such a cutie! The Lord will give you wisdom each step of the way...He is faithful!
At least you know she's right on track for her age with all of the "nos" and "mine" :) Maddie is adorable and growing into a little girl instead of a baby. Sad and fun at the same time!!
She is so precious! What a fun update.
